Self-Portraits with a Plan
Students learn about tones, shading, creating volume, designing and more when transferring self-portraits and add tone out lines to them. Students were challenged to contrast their portraits by rearranging a small portion of their portraits. The slideshow below is a sampling.

A Self-Portrait of Distortions
Students were challenged with creating a distortion within a distortion, while using watercolors to define tones and forms. The result was very interesting.

Students were required to take lines and sections of maps to create form/show 3 dimensionality.
