The Basics
My Sixth Graders are making grand transformations from their elementary studies to the middle school paradigm. They are allowed to explore and even push the limits of prior knowledge. In short they learn to trust their instincts and build upon past information.
Project One: Color Theory - Constructing parabolas for the purpose of learning about color mixing and more
Project Two: Perspective - Making a myriorama using limited color and line drawings only
Project Three: Perspective and color - Combining what has been learned from color theory and perspective to create a three dimensional watercolor composition. Students will study Monet, Vermeer, Erlandsson, Homer, Wyeth and more.
